Goodbye September, Hello October!!
This week all of the classes will be taking an unit test on Literary Terms.  This test is based on terminology the students have learned for years, just taught on a middle  school grade level.  They should all be prepared.  We have also been diligently working on RACES and paragraph writing which will also appear on the test.
After the test, we will begin our introductory research for our novels.  I hope to all be starting our novels by October 6th.
5th Grade: Number the Stars
6th Grade: Ground Zero
7th Grade: Restart
8th Grade: Refugee

If you have some spare time, grab a novel and read along with us so you can discuss the novel each night with your child!  They will love it and it will help deepen their comprehension and love of reading.
