Dear Parents,

The children had a wonderful week learning about God’s creation.  They also learned about the letter “F” for Fall.  We continued making cute Fall crafts to decorate our classroom.

This week we will be learning about the letter “Y” for yellow.  The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter Y.  We will begin our unit on colors this week.  The children will be making a color book, made by mixing their hands with two different colors to see what color it makes.  This week we will use the color yellow to mix with another color and find out what color it makes.  Please have your child wear yellow on Wednesday.  We will also begin our unit on farm animals this week and visit White Post Farms.

For math instruction, we will be counting “All about Ducks,” using Duck counting mats 1 to 20.

For Religious instruction, we will continue learning about the 7 Days of God’s Creation.  The children are making such cute crafts that we will hang on our “Creation Wall.”

• October 7th – School Picture Day
• October 13th – NO SCHOOL for Columbus Day
• October 24th – NO SCHOOL for Professional Development Day
• Please remember to empty your child’s folder each week.
