Dear Parents,
We had such a wonderful week! We started learning about God’s creation and also learned about the letter “F” for Fall. We made lots of cute Fall crafts to decorate our classroom and the halls.

This week we will be learning about the letter “Y” for yellow. The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter Y. We will begin our unit on colors this week. The children will be making a color book, made by mixing their hands with two different colors to see what color it makes. This week we will use the color yellow to mix with another color and find out what color it makes. Please have your child wear yellow on Wednesday. We will also begin our unit on farm animals this week and visit White Post Farm.

IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS:

October 2nd – Field Trip to White Post Farms.

October 7th – School Picture Day (We would like all children to come in for the class picture even if Tuesday is not your day. I will get back to you with our scheduled picture time and you can bring them in for the picture).

October 13th – NO SCHOOL for Columbus Day

October 24th – NO SCHOOL for Professional Development Day
