ECC3 Nursery – Week of 10/20/25

Dear Parents,

We had a wonderful week learning all about pumpkins and how they grow.  We made some fun pumpkin crafts to hang on the community wall.  We also learned all about the color orange and how to make the color orange by mixing red and yellow together.

This week we will learn about the letter “S” for Spider.  The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter S.  They will also learn about the color black and will continue working in their color mixing books.  We will make some spooky spider crafts to hang on our wall. We are also going to read spooky books by our jack o lantern in the reading center.

For Math instruction, we will have the children do a “Count the legs on a spider” worksheet.  They will also do a fun craft where they bead the legs on the spider which will help with the children’s hand-eye coordination, as well as strengthen their fine motor skills.
