Dear Parents,

We had a wonderful week learning and playing with our friends.  We learned about the letter B for Bat.  We learned all about the importance of Columbus Day and made Columbus hats to wear home.

This coming week we will be learning about the letter P for pumpkin.  The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter P. We will be learning about the color Orange for our color unit.  We will continue our Farm animal unit by learning all about cows.  We will read the book, “Click, Clack, Moo” and make a fun cow craft.  The children will also make a pumpkin craft to decorate our community wall.  This week the children will get a chance to explore the inside of a pumpkin. 🎃  We will also make a scarecrow craft and other Fall crafts to decorate our classroom.

IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS:

• October 13th – NO SCHOOL for Columbus Day.
• October 15th – Orange Day. Don’t forget to dress your child in orange since we are learning about the color orange this week.
• October 24th – NO SCHOOL for Professional Development.
• October 25th – Trunk or Treat at Trinity
• Please remember to empty your child’s  folder daily.
