ECC Nursery – Week of 5/4/26

Dear Parents,

We had a wonderful week learning all about planting vegetables!  The children worked in their Scholastic weekly reader, “Welcome to Our Garden!”   We learned what tools we use to dig holes in the soil and how to put the seeds in and cover them up.  The children also learned the different things plants need to grow, such as water and sun.  We also learned about the letter Z for zinnia.

This week the children will learn about the letter Q for Queen.  They will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter Q.

This month, we will continue to learn all about plants and make fun flower crafts. We will also introduce the life cycle of a butterfly. 🦋             The following week, we will get caterpillars for our classroom and wait patiently for them to open from their “chrysalis’s” into beautiful butterflies. We will then release them in the playground!

The children and I are so excited for the upcoming Art Exhibition on Wednesday, May 6th.   The children have worked so hard on their masterpieces and can’t wait for you to see their work!  We are looking forward to seeing many (hopefully all of you) there! 🤗
