ARTrageous Adventures…in the Art Room Week of 3/2/26

This Week in Art

PreK (Ms. Pepitone) ~ Inspired by our lesson’s French artist G. Seurat we will paint a flower using the artist’s Impressionistic style…..DOTS, DOTS, and lots of DOTS!!!   We even mixed red and blue dots to make purple and blue and yellow dots to make green!

Kindergarten ~ the class will sharpen up their watercolor skills by painting a cross using watercolors.

Gr. 1 ~  this class is learning about A. Calder’s stabile sculpture art.  They will make a stabile of their own using assorted assemblage.

Gr. 2 ~  we will finish up our VanGogh style drawings using lines and swirls of color.

Gr. 3 ~ this class had an informative tour of our church’s lovely stained glass windows.  The students will design their stained glass project using oil pastels.

Gr. 4 ~ we are finishing up our Yoyoi Kusama infinity of dots drawings.

Gr. 5 ~ this class is working hard on their value of gray drawings.

Gr. 6 ~  the students are learning about the history of graffiti and will design a graffiti “tag” of their own.

Gr. 7 ~ we should be finishing up weaving our “mug rugs” this week.

Gr. 8 ~ this class is working on their original scratchboard designs.

Art Elective ~ we are painting with watercolors
