This Week in Art

PreK ~ the children are getting ready for Easter by using watercolors to paint their Easter Bunny body.  Next week we wil assemble all the body parts.

Kindergarten ~ the students will be learning how to manipulate paper strips to build a playground paper sculpture.

Gr. 1 ~ this class will be viewing the many ways artists paint the season of Spring.  They will be painting an original “Spring” watercolor.

Gr. 2 ~ the children will be learning about the many artistic talents of artist A. Calder.  They will be building a stabile out of assorted assemblage.

Gr. 3 ~ the Third Grade class will be designing a picture using assorted colors of yarn to add texture.

Gr. 4 ~ the class will be finishing up their stencil design pictures.

Gr. 5 ~ the students will be drawing an oriiginal creature and its habitat by choosing different body parts from several land and sea animals.

Gr. 6 ~ the class will be finishing up their graffiti tags.

Gr. 7 ~ Seventh graders will be working on their Sunset Silhouette watercolor pictures.

Gr. 8 ~ the class will be learning about American artist Georgia O’Keefe and using chalk pastels to draw an oversized flower.

Art Elective ~ the class will be using paper rolls and assorted assemblage to create their amusement parks.
