3rd Grade News – October 20, 2025

Important Information

Please make sure you send in the $10 for our class parties. It is due on Wednesday, October 22nd.

It is a short week, and there is no school on Friday.

Please make sure that band instruments are brought to school on the day your child has band. Evelyn, Syndey, and Ethan have lessons on Mondays, and everyone else’s lessons are on Thursdays.

Academics

Math: Our Module 3 Math Test was last week. We now will be focusing on the Identity Property of Multiplication, the Zero Property of Multiplication, the Distributive Property and the Associative Property of Multiplication. We are also focusing on learning our multiplication facts, so please practice them with your child every day.

Religion: We are hearing the story of Isaac blessing his son Jacob. The children will learn that the promise of a Savior was passed from  Abraham to Isaac, and now to Jacob. And although these men were sinful, God was faithful and kept his Word.

Social Studies: We are in our chapter on Our Environment. This week we will focus on natural resources and agriculture.

ELA: For Unit 1, Week 5 our essential question is “How do landmarks help us understand our country’s story?” The following is a list of everything we will be covering in ELA, including our vocabulary.

Science We needed a little extra time in the STEAM lab, so we are finishing up our bridge activities this week.
