3rd Grade News – February 23, 2026 – Update

BECAUSE OF THE TWO SNOW DAYS, NO TESTS THIS WEEK.

“I failed over and over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan

Important Information

I hope everyone had an enjoyable vacation. This week for Black History Month, we will focus on Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, Ruby Bridges, Jesse Owens, and Garrett Morgan.

Please make sure that chromebooks are charged each evening. It is also a good time of year to replenish school supplies such as pencils and glue sticks.

Information about our “stuffed animal” reports are going home on Tuesday. Please be on the lookout for it.

Many of the children in the class are struggling with telling time. I will be reviewing how to tell and write time from analog and digital clocks in five minute increments, and using a.m. and p.m.  Additionally, the children should have an understanding of common terms, such as, quarter past, half past, quarter to, before, and after the hour.  I will be doing the review in addition to our regular math lessons.
