We are going to the farm!  This Thursday is our class trip to the pumpkin farm.  We will meet up at the main entrance to White Post Farms at 10 am and visit the farm together as a class.  We will feed the animals, take a hayride and pick a pumpkin.  It should be such fun!
In preparation for our trip, we will be learning about the purpose of farms and farm animals in our classroom this week.  We will sing the fingerplay, “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and learn more about the pig, cow, horse and sheep and their special roles on a farm.  In addition to and in conjunction with the farm study, our core concepts for the week are the letter Bb, the color blue, the number 4, the shape of a triangle and the concept of more / less.  Our ABCs of Faith this week is “Bb is for Bible, Beloved, Baptism and Blessings.”
