Toddler Class News – Week of November 3rd

Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed some Halloween fun.  It was nice to get the extra hour of sleep with the time change this weekend.  We are looking forward to the next two months.  We will be having lots of holiday fun over the next few weeks.  We will begin working on some Christmas songs this week for our Christmas program so you may hear them singing some Christmas songs at home.

This week we will be talking about fire trucks, fire safety and honoring our Veterans.   We will have a visit from the Hicksville Fire Department this week and we will be making cards to give to a Veterans hospital for Veterans Day next week.    We will continue to review basic shapes such as a triangle, circle, square and rectangle as we make fire truck crafts and our cards for the Veterans.  We will be talking about the color red and the letter F.

For the whole month we will continue to talk about Fall and celebrating Thanksgiving.   During Jesus time we will finish talking about the story of Noah and begin the story of Abraham.

Fire Engines by Anne Rockwell

Firefighter Frank by Monica Wellington
