Students did an excellent job of writing opinion paragraphs, which are on display in our classroom.
There will be no school on Thursday and Friday of this week and on Monday, Memorial Day, of next week.
There will be a spelling test this Wednesday.
This week, we will be
- Focusing on Revelations in the New Testament and the songs of David in the Old Testament in Religion
- Exploring Week 5, Unit 5 content in our Wonders curriculum, including phoneme deletion and substitution, short-vowel digraphs, the importance of rules, opinion texts, decodable readers, alphabetical order, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, contractions, high-frequency words, summarizing, charts, making inferences, and using details to support arguments in ELA
- Completing Module 19, “Length in Centimeters and Meters,” and diving into Module 20, “Relate Addition and Subtraction to Length,” in Math
- Reflecting on the history, significance, and traditions associated with Memorial Day plus the 250th birthday of our country this July 4, in Social Studies
- Seeking more information about composting and trash disposal in Science
Specials will include Library, Art, Critters, PE, and Spanish. We will be attending Chapel on Wednesday. Your child will be provided with an offering envelope on Tuesday to take home.
