We will be preparing for Valetine’s Day on Friday. Your child is welcome to bring in a card for each student in the class that day. We have eleven students in all. A class list will be provided in your child’s folder later in the week. Food and activities will be provided for the celebration. Students may wear red or pink on Friday at no charge

Winter Break is from 2/16 – 2/20. There will be no school. Enjoy!

There will be a spelling test on Thursday and a math test on Module 12 on Friday.

 This week, we will be

• Learning about the parable of the sower, Mary who anointed Jesus, the glory of Jesus, and loving God and others in Religion
• Moving into Week 4 of Unit 3 in Wonders with a focus on the long e sound, plurals, decodable readers, verbs, subject-verb agreement, high-frequency words, abbreviations, and headings plus conferencing about and posting our personal narratives in ELA
• Completing Module 12, Represent and Record Addition and Subtraction, of Unit 4, Two-Digit Addition and Subtraction, in Math
• Continuing our explorations of the contributions of famous Black Americans and reflecting on the lives of our Presidents and Chinese New Year in Social Studies
• Turning our attention to hearts in Science

Specials will include Library, Art, Critters, PE, Spanish, Music, and Computer. We will be attending Chapel on Wednesday. Your child will be provided with an offering envelope on Tuesday to take home.
