Here are the updates for this week.

6th Religion

On Monday, the students will have their test on unit 4. Then, we will begin unit 5 by studying the Old Testament prophecies about Jesus.

6th Social Studies

Last week, we learned about the differences between Athens and Sparta and the rivalry that developed between them. This week we will learn about the culture they shared, the wars they fought against one another, and how the instances when they allied against common enemies.

7th Religion

This week in religion we will study Jesus’ early days of ministry. We will learn about His baptism and temptation, and then calling the early disciples. The test on unit 5 will be on Wednesday, March 18th.

7th Social Studies

In social studies, we will focus on the concept of Manifest Destiny and we will study the settlement of Oregon, the complicated history of Texas, and the settlement of California. The test on Topic 6 will be on Thursday, March 19th.

8th Religion

The students started their church design projects last week, and are off to a great start! They will continue to work on them this week.

8th Social Studies

This week we will study Roosevelt’s New Deal and life during the Great Depression. The test on Topic 13 will be on Thursday, March 19th.
