Mrs. Skoch’s Updates for the Week of April 20, 2026

Welcome back to a new week at Trinity! Here are the updates for each of my classes. Please note, because each of the grades has at least one unit test with me this week, there are no memory quizzes for any of the religion classes.

6th Religion

Sixth grade will have their test on Unit 5 on Monday, April 20th. Then we will begin Unit 6, which will focus on the teachings and miracles of Jesus, beginning with the Sermon on the Mount and His, “I am,” statements.

6th Social Studies

This week the students will review for their test on Topic 7- The Roman Republic, which will be on Thursday April 23rd. Then, we will transition into the time of the Roman Empire.

7th Religion

In religion this week, we are going to focus on some of Jesus’ most well known miracles, such as feeding the 4,000, healing the sick child, and healing a paralyzed man.

7th Social Studies

This week the students will review for their test on Topic 7- Society and Culture Before the Civil War. The test will be on Thursday, April 23rd. The next unit will cover the immediate causes of the Civil War, and the entirety of the Civil War.

8th Religion

The lessons this week will focus on living a Christ centered life and living one’s faith. We will study the concept of apologetics, using Scripture and logic to explain one’s faith, and then we will learn from the example of Jesus’ first 12 Apostles.

8th Social Studies

This week the students will conclude their unit on World War II. We will do some additional research on American military leaders, and then we will review for the test, which will be on Friday, April 24th. Topic 15 will go into the Cold War and then how life in the United States changed dramatically in the decades following the War.
