Mrs. Holder’s Update for the Week of January 19, 2026

Reminder: There will be no school on Monday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
We will also be conducting TerraNova testing this week. Please make sure your child comes to school each day with at least two sharpened #2 pencils.

5th Grade Social Studies

This week, students will be presenting their Colonial Job Fair projects. They will deliver their “elevator pitch,” showcase the props they created, and present their Google Slides or posters.

5th Grade Science

We will continue our astronomy unit, focusing on what makes up the universe and how far away space is.

5th Grade Religion

We are beginning a new unit titled God Exiles and Restores His People. Our first lesson will focus on the division of the kingdom.
Additionally, students will begin weekly Bible verse memorization, with a short quiz given each Friday.

6th Grade Math

We completed our statistics unit last week. This week, we will begin coordinate graphing, starting with plotting points and graphing ordered pairs.

6th Grade Earth Science

We are continuing our unit on tectonic plates. There will be a 7.2 vocabulary quiz on Thursday.
