Reminder: There are no classes on Friday, March 20, as it is a Professional Development Day for staff.

5th Grade Social Studies – On Monday, students will present their “Breaking Up with the King” projects, where they declared their independence from King George III. After the presentations, we will return to the textbook and begin learning about the Battle of Saratoga.

5th Grade Science – This week we will continue our lessons on stars and explore why they appear to “dance” in the night sky.

5th Grade Religion – This week we will learn about Jesus’ early years, including the Flight to Egypt and the story of the boy Jesus in the Temple.

6th Grade Math – As we continue our work with expressions, this week’s focus will be on distributing, factoring, and combining like terms.

6th Grade Earth Science – We are beginning our unit on volcanoes this week. There will be a vocabulary quiz on Section 9.1 on Wednesday.
