Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families! 

Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week: 

ELA: This week we will be reading the Scholastic text, Thor the King of the Giants. We will be working on the skills of text features and characterization. There will be a vocabulary and comprehension test on Friday 10-31.  In grammar we will be reviewing concepts taught in Unit 1

Math: This week in Math we continue Unit 2: Multiplication and Division Problems, Module 4 and 5 have been combined. We will be learning how to Multiply muti digit numbers by one digit numbers. There will be a quiz on 10/28 and a test on 10/29.  Helpful handouts, videos, charts, reteach pages, and the HW can all be found on Google Classroom and are excellent resources. 

Religion: In religion this week we begin Unit 1-God Creates the World and Calls a Nation. We will be focusing on the book of Genesis. 

Social Studies: This week in S.S. we continue unit 2, Three Worlds Meet. We will be learning about the Algonquin, Iroquois, and Europeans as the Americas begin to be colonized. There will be a S.S. test from chapter 2 on 11/7. A review sheet will be going home this week.  

Science: This week we will be using Mystery Science to learn about how we can make a sound machine. We will be beginning to plan our sound machines in preparation to building them in the STEAM lab the week of 11/3.
