Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families!

Merry Christmas! Be sure to mark your calendars for our Winter Concert on 12/16. 

Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week: 

ELA: This week we will be reading a christmas picture book each day and practicing various skills such as summarizing, character analysis, plot, etc. We will continue our study of verbs. Students will also write a letter to tell the true meaning of Christmas to participate in Macy’s Believe Campaign. Math: This week in Math we begin Module 9, area of rectangles. There will be a quiz on 12/17 and a test on 12/8. Helpful handouts, videos, charts, reteach pages, and the HW can all be found on Google Classroom and are excellent resources. 

Religion: In religion this week we begin our learning of the meaning of advent, as well as finish creating our own picture book retelling the Christmas Story. 

Social Studies: In S.S. we begin Chapter 4, New York in the Revolution. We will be learning about the causes of the American Revolution. 

Science: This week we will be studying for the science test on 12/18. We will also be completing a Boston Tea Party STEAM challenge to commemorate the 252nd anniversary of the Boston Tea Party.
