Preschool ~ This week we will learn about the artist C. Monet and his beautiful garden and lily pond.  We will be using a paper plate to make the pond.

Kindergarten ~ We learned how to draw a few images by putting simple shapes together.  This week we will finish coloring our Fall scenes and then we will add some beautiful fall leaves.

Gr. 1 ~ This class will learn about the artist Kandinsky and will create a Line and Shape Collage.

Gr. 2 ~  The students will finish coloring their Autumn Activity pictures and will add leaves by spongepainting.

Gr. 3 ~ The class will be inspired by the beautiful artwork of P. A. Renoir.  They will learn how he captures the reflection of light in his paintigs.  The class will use craypas to illustrate a vase of mums.

Gr. 4 ~ The class will finish up their program designs for the school’s anniversary celebration.

Gr. 5 ~  Same as 4th grade

Gr. 6 ~ The students will learn about movement in art.  They will start by sketching one of their shoes.  This will lead to a painting showing movement in art.

Gr. 7 ~ The students will use warm-colored pastels and organic shapes to create an abstract piece of art.

Gr. 8 ~ Students will learn about the style of expressionism by viewing the piece “Scream” by artist E. Munch.  They will create a drawing showing a phobia.

Art Elective ~ the class is working on an abstract watercolor painting.
