This Week in Art

Grades 2, 4 and 5 will not be meeting this week due to Veteran’s Day school closing.

PreK ~  Mrs. Pepitone’s class will be gluing all the pieces of const. paper cutouts onto their turkeys.  Then they can take home their hanging turkey decorations just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Kindergarten ~ this class will be drawing the Nativity using simple shapes and lines.  Next they will be coloring their drawings to make a joyous Nativity scene.

Gr. 1 ~ will start making their paper plate Christmas wreaths to decorate their classroom or home.

Gr. 3 ~ will watch a slideshare of original Christian artpieces that depict the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  The class will enjoy drawing a Nativity scene and making a crayon resist project with crayons and watercolor paints.

Gr. 6 ~ will be working with partners to make a collaborative nutcracker collage over the next few weeks.

Gr. 7 ~ will continue to work on their Christmas card drawings

Gr. 8 ~ will finish up their Cornucopia colored pencil drawings.

Art Elective ~ this class is enjoying the time to work on building their amusement parks.
