Merry Christmas!

I can hardly believe that it is already the week before Christmas Break! I am beyond excited to celebrate this Christmas season with this amazing group of fourth graders!

This week we will be focusing on the following topics:

ELA- This week we will finish our novel, The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare. Our writing this week will focus on Opinion Essays, writing about if we think sharks are dangerous. Our final essay will be due on Wednesday, we will be writing it together in class throughout the week. There will be a Christmas Spelling Test on Friday.

Math- This week we will continue Chapter 5: Factors, Multiples, and Patterns. There will be a Quiz for Chapter 5 on Thursday. Quiz corrections will be due Friday. There is no test for Ch. 5. A review and study guide is on Google Classroom, and a copy went home last Thursday.

Social Studies- This week we will be learning about how people all over the world celebrate Christmas.

Science– We will be doing a variety of Christmas experiments to celebrate the Christmas season. Be on the lookout for some finished experiments coming home later this week.

Religion- This week in religion we will be focusing on what is Advent, and continue our Advent journal. As well as learn about the Christmas Story.

Please always reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is through talking points, and I am looking forward to an amazing week learning with an amazing class. Merry Christmas!
