Hello Parents! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and the fickle weather we are having. Please remember to continue to complete the daily attestations upon arrival.
We are continuing Theme 8 and starting Unit 2 “Trying New Things”. BIG Idea: I feel comfortable trying new things. Knowledge Focus: Children reflect on all the ways they have grown and changed during the year. Social-Emotional Focus: Persistence. The theme vocabulary words include: challenge, encourage and try. Math vocabulary words include: pattern and repeats.
We are continuing to review letters A-Z, numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will be reading the books “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, “Dot the Fire Dog”, “Little Bat” and “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”. Our caterpillars have officially moved into the chrysalis stage! They will stay in there for a week or two and then they will transform into a butterfly!
We will be discussing Lady bugs this week as well! We will discuss how they are similar and different to caterpillars. We will also complete any crafts for the Spring.
For Jesus Time, Mrs. Gonzalez will discuss how we are all special to Jesus and how he knows our name. We will continue to pray before snack and lunch. We will also continue to practice our Graduation songs. Stay tuned on our Classdojo for more information! This year is flying by!
