Hello Parents! It was so great seeing everyone’s special person for our very first Special Person’s Day! The children and Mrs. Gonzalez and I had such a beautiful time. Unfortunately, for the next 3 days before break, we are asking all students and staff to please wear their mask. It is imperative to also continue to fill out the daily attestations upon arrival.
Reminder – This week is a 3 day week. We will begin Easter Break Thursday, 4/14 and return to school Monday, 4/25.
We are continuing with Theme 7 and starting unit 2 “What’s in the Sky?” BIG Idea: I see how the sky is different during the day and at night. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their environment by investigating characteristics of the natural world. Social-Emotional Focus: Curiosity. The theme vocabulary words include: lighting, moon, sky, stars, sun and thunderstorm. Math vocabulary words include: flip, sphere, rhombus, turn and slide.
We will be learning the letter Xx, and reviewing numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will be reading the books “Little Cloud”, “Mommy’s Little Star”, and “What the Sun/Moon Sees”. We will be having our Easter egg hunt on Wednesday as well as an Easter celebration! We will also begin to create a few Mother’s Day crafts. Please keep an eye on our Classdojo for any upcoming events and important news.
For Jesus Time, Mrs. Gonzalez will discuss Easter and read the children a story. We will continue to sing our Jesus time songs and pray before snack and lunch.
