Hello Parents! I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and enjoyed joining us for our ECC Olympics this past Friday! The children loved seeing you all on the big screen and had so much fun practicing. Even though this will be a short week for us, we will be jam packed with all things Easter! We will be having an Easter celebration, an egg hunt and watching a short movie on Wednesday. Please be sure to continue to complete the daily attestations each morning.
Reminder: Thursday, April 1st – Friday, April 9th: Spring Recess No School
We are continuing with theme 6 “Growing Up Healthy” and starting unit 4 called “Staying Safe”. BIG Idea: I know what to do to be safe. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their bodies and how to take care of themselves. Social-Emotional focus: Self-Awareness. The theme vocabulary words include: accident, caution, danger, emergency, harm, injury and safety. Math vocabulary words include: divide, equal and share.
We will be learning the letter Xx and continue to review numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will be reading the books “Always Be Safe” and “Please Play Safe!”. We will also continue reading the “1 Egg, 2 Eggs, I See Blue Eggs!” Scholastic weekly reader this week.
For Jesus time, we will be discussing Holy Week, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
As a class craft, the children will be doing X is for Xylophone for their ABC book. We will also continue to finish up the rest of our Easter crafts.
