Hello Parents! First and foremost, thank you all for your continued support in our classroom. Our community workers week was so amazing because of all of you! A huge thank you to those who volunteered their time to come in and discuss your job with the class. I know all of the children had a blast and loved it so much. It’s so great to be able to have volunteers come in our classroom again.
Important Dates and Reminders:
- Wednesday, 11/23 is our School-wide Thanksgiving Feast! More details to come on our Classdojo regarding our Thanksgiving Party! All half-day children are invited to stay full day.
- There will be no school Thursday 11/24 and Friday 11/25 due to Thanksgiving Recess!
We are going to take a brief pause on part of our BigDay curriculum since this will be a short week filled with Thanksgiving festivities! Our school-wide feast will begin at 11:30 am on Wednesday 11/23. We will be having a Thanksgiving celebration after in our classroom. A flyer will be posted on our Classdojo asking for volunteers to bring in a treat for us to enjoy after the feast.
We will be reviewing shapes, creating a thankful booklet and finishing up our Thanksgiving placemats to use during our feast and at home. We will also be finishing up our community project, fall leaf wreath and scarecrow projects. We will be reading the books “I’m Your Bus”, “Dig Dig Digging” and “ABC Drive!”. We will be recapping the short week in our Journals on Wednesday.
For music and movement, we will continue to sing our Thanksgiving song titled “Thank Him” and dance to a guided Turkey dance using GoNoodle.com. We will also continue to practice singing our Christmas Program songs since it is coming around the corner! More details regarding our program will be posted soon on our Classdojo. It is truly a beautiful program and this year we will be able to celebrate with ECC 4!
For Jesus time, we will continue to sing the song “Jesus Loves Me” and begin singing a new song for Thanksgiving called “Thank Him” which we thank God for all he has done for us. We will also continue to recite our new prayer for the month of November. Lastly, Mrs. Gonzalez will teach our Jesus time curriculum, voyages 11: “David and Jonathan, Thank you for friends”.
