Hello Parents! The weather is starting to get colder and colder so please continue to pack the proper attire for outside weather as we are still going outside to the playground. Please remember to continue filling out the daily attestations upon arrival.

We are continuing with theme 3 “Our Community” and starting unit 2 titled “People We Meet”. BIG Idea: The workers in my community help everyone. Social-Emotional Focus: Responsibility. The theme vocabulary words include: doctor, firefighter, librarian, mail carrier, police officer, work and workers. Math vocabulary words include: closer, distance and farther.

We will be learning the letter Hh, number 10 and color and shape review. We will be reading the books “A Goodnight Walk”, “Jobs”, “Dot the Fire Dog” and “ABC Drive!”.

We will continue talking about leaves and completing carious crafts. We will also be discussing Thanksgiving and what it means to be Thankful for of the upcoming holiday. We will use leaves and acorns in our sensory bins along with tweezers to pick them up! This will allow us to continue practicing our fine motor skills. We will create a H is for House craft for our ABC book.

For Jesus Time, we will continue singing the song “Jesus Loves Me” and begin singing a new song for Thanksgiving called “Thank Him” which we thank God for all he has done for us. Lastly, Mrs. Gonzalez will teach the children about Samuel “Thank you for school”.
