Hello Parents,
I hope everyone’s long weekend was well spent! This week is spirit week!!!! Please see the following schedule in order to ensure ECC 5 has some school/Halloween spirit! If you are planning on sending in goody bags for Halloween, please make sure they are store bought and individually wrapped. Trinkets and other non food items are also welcomed. There are 10 students in our class!
Monday – Pajama Day
Wednesday – Disney Day (Children can wear their princess or other Disney themed outfits they may have)
Friday – Pumpkin Day (Dress as a pumpkin or wear orange)
We are continuing the theme, “My Family” and the third unit which is called “Family Fun.” Central Focus: I share special times with my family. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about family members, family roles, and the different qualities of families. Social-Emotional Focus: Kindness. Vocabulary words include: celebrate, holiday, relatives, thankful and together. Math words include: fewer, greater, less and more. Science words include: gas, liquid and solid.
We will be learning the letter Ee, #7, color brown and hexagon. We will be reading the books “What Mommies/Daddies Do Best”, “Feast for 10”, “Celebrations” and “My Day from A to Z”. This week we will be reading the scholastic reader “4321 Vote!”. For our classroom craft we will be creating watercolor bats and possibly some spooky ghosts!
Specials:
Art on Wednesday at 10:30-11 am.
Gym on Wednesday at 12:50-1:10 pm.

I will be putting together an online class book in order to get to know our classmates a little better! Please include any pictures you would like to include. Also, please send me a private message on Class Dojo or email answering the following questions about your child:
