I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and that you had the opportunity to honor our fallen heroes.
On Monday, June 5th from 8:30 – 11:00 we are having FIELD DAY! Our color is GREEN and our theme is PEACE. I hope you are able to attend.
In ELA this week, we are reading The Journey, Stories of Migration. We will be focusing on compare and contrast, author’s word choice, and visualize. Our vocabulary words are migrate, accidents, solid, chilly, landscape, thunderous, and dramatic. Our grammar will cover making comparisons. We are having a comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar test on Friday.
Our spelling words are singer, loudly, joyful, teacher, fighter, closely, powerful, former, quickly, careful, friendly, speaker, wonderful, truly, hopeful, safely, listener, and calmly. The test is Tuesday, July 6th.
In Math we are learning about two dimensional shapes. We are having a quiz on Thursday.
In Social Studies, we are still studying China and learning about communism, political parties, and educating the people. We are having a test on Thursday. It will cover pages 188-191.
In Science, we are learning about water. We are having our chapter test on Friday, June 9th.
