The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.Psalm 23 1-3

6th ELA: We are reading Freak the Mighty and have been studying the main characters. The author alludes to King Arthur in the novel. The students will be reading The Green Knight as a way to understand its use in the story. This week we are going to work on pronouns and later in the week the apostrophe. Many people confuse it with making nouns plurals.

7th ELA: The seventh graders are on the third chapter in The Wednesday Wars. In this novel the author uses the allusion of Shakespeare. Last week we saw a video of the Merchant of Venice. In the next chapter we will watch a video on The Tempest. The students have been studying characterization and conflict. Much of the homework will be the pronoun and the apostrophe.

8th ELA: Eighth graders are reading The Outsiders. They have been introduced to the characters and the setting. This week we will look at the conflicts of class depicted in the novel. We will work on pronouns and the apostrophe.

7th Grade Religion: We will have a unit test on unit 1 on Wednesday. The memory quiz will be on Friday due to the upcoming unit exam. We will begin to work on Unit 2 which studies the Church and the Holy Spirit.
