“Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High.” Psalm 50:14

The November Book Project is due on Wednesday, December 1st.

6th Grade ELA: This week we are reviewing adjectives and adverbs. The class will read a short story, “Stray” and create a lost pet poster using adjectives.
We will write an essay comparing the characters, Kevin and Max.

7th Grade ELA: Seventh graders are continuing with the novel “The Witch of Blackbird Pond.” We will have a quiz on what we read in class on Tuesday, November 2. (Because our book is a longer story, 7th grade’s independent book will be due on Wednesday, December 8th.) Students will review adverbs. Hopefully we will be able to study conflict and theme by the weeks end. The class will review adverbs and begin studying action verbs.

8th Grade ELA: The students are going to write an essay based on the similarities and differences between the two groups of boys in the novel, The Outsiders. We will explore hyperbole and theme in the short story, “Liverwurst and Roses.” Finally, we will continue reviewing adverbs and start action verbs.

7th Religion:
Unit 2 looks at the Holy Spirit and the start of the Reformation. We will have a memory verse on Thursday, November 4 John 14:26
