Students will have a test on Friday, January 29th on Unit 7. Much of the homework will be the vocabulary and reading.
6th Grade: We have been reading The Watsons Go to Birmingham, 1963, and hopefully we will finish the book this week. If time permits, the students will have a quiz. They will review essay writing and then create an essay on the novel. The students will also review conjunctions.
7th Grade: Students in seventh grade have been reading Fever, 1793. We have explored the medical procedures used in that time period- blood letting- and some of the similarities of the fever to the pandemic. Hopefully, we will finish the book and then end with a quiz and an essay.

8th Grade: The eighth graders have finished Inside Out and Back Again. They will have a quiz on Monday on the novel. We will discuss themes in the story and write an essay. It time permits, we will begin a unit on Social Responsibility in stories by Maya Angelou and Langston Hughes.
7th Grade Religion: We are reviewing for the unit quiz on Tuesday, January 26. We will have a memory quiz on Wednesday, Jan 27. We have discussing prophets throughout the year. Students will work on a project about a prophet of their choice starting on Wednesday, 27.
