Welcome to the new school year! We will be learning new technology and this requires consideration and patience. For me as well as the students! Upcoming work: Summer reading book projects are due on Friday, September 18. This is your child’s first quiz grade.
The Homework this week is comprised of noun review.

6th Grade: Students in 6th grade are going to study the different nouns in a sentence. We will be reading a short story- “Aaron’s Gift” and study the structure and literary elements that make up a story. Later in the week, students will be write a personal narrative.

7th Grade: The seventh graders will review nouns used in a sentence. They will read the “The Treasure of Lemon Brown” and will review story structure. Students will begin writing a personal narrative.

8th Grade: The eight grade students will begin a unit on Civil War literature. This will coincide with the Social Studies unit. We will begin with Harriet Tubman and an excerpt by Frederick Douglas. The students will review nouns in sentences.

7th Grade Religion: We started to work on unit 1 in Religion. We will have a memory quiz every week on Thursdays. I will post the scripture on Google cLassroom.
