The Christmas 2020 season has arrived! In class, we will be discussing the signs of the Christmas season. We will begin with the Advent wreath and the meaning behind the lighting of the first candle, the Annunciation (when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her she would be the mother of God) and then start a unit of study based on a “Gingerbread” theme. We will enjoy an author study on Jan Brett and read her “Gingerbread Baby” book series. Our sensory bins will be full of Christmas cookie cloud dough for some fun holiday sensory play. I am looking forward to all the joy the new Christmas season brings and I am glad that I will get to share it with your children!!
