This week we celebrate Holy Week and Jesus’ rising from the dead on Easter Sunday. We will review the biblical history of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We will learn and sing our traditional Easter hymns. Wednesday we will participate in a special chapel with Pastor Hopkins.
In addition, we will also enjoy a few of the traditional Easter festivities. We will read stories about Easter, eggs, bunnies and springtime. We will create art to take home as Easter gifts to our families. We will enjoy the finger plays, “Five Little Ducks” and “Little Bunny Foo Foo.” On Wednesday, we will hold our annual Easter egg hunt on the playground. A special springtime snack will also be enjoyed by the class. Thank you to all who donated to our party to make it extra special!!
Please note that school will be closed in observance of Easter break from Thursday, April 1 – Friday, April 9th. We hope everyone enjoys a happy Easter with their families!
