Language Arts- This week we will continue Unit 9 of our Wonder’s series. Our essential question is, How can things in nature be used to make new things? we will read, Bread Comes to Life. We will learn the sight word – where and focus on the long o sounds. We will continue to determine the missing sounds in CVC words, count how many words in a sentence and read in small groups and have reading homework. We will continue to review all the different word families and in grammar, we will learn about adjectives, we will use size to describe nouns.

Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be reading and CVC words.

Math- This week we complete Chapter 15– Describe the Position of Objects and have our test on Wednesday 5/24.

Math Centers- We will practice identifying 3D shapes.

Jesus Time- We have completed the whole New Testament of the Bible! Now we will go back to the Old Testament and read the stories we did not get to finish before we jumped to Jesus’s birth for Christmas.

Science: Monday morning we came back to see two of the caterpillars have gone through metamorphosis and are now butterflies! We will wait for the rest to come out this week!  We will also read and color a book about the butterflies life cycle!

Social Studies: We will read a story and discuss the meaning of Memorial Day!
