Happy Thanksgiving to all! I am truly grateful for all of you and the privilege of teaching your children. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with so many of you at parent- teacher conferences. Here are the updates for our short week.

6th Religion

This week we will finish learning about how God provided water for the people at Meribah, and the consequences Moses and Aaron faced for allowing their own sinful thoughts to take over, instead of trusting God. There is no memory verse this week.

6th Social Studies

This week the students will continue to work on their in-class research projects on various Egyptian pharaohs. They will present their projects after Thanksgiving.

7th Religion

This week we will dive deeper into how the Holy Spirit brings us to faith and works to change our hearts. The basis of this lesson will be the book of Philemon. There is no memory verse this week.

7th Social Studies

Last week we started learning about the events and acts of Parliament that pushed the American colonists to rebel against Britain. By the end of class on Wednesday, we will be fully into the American Revolution, talking about the first battles that took place in and around Boston, Massachusetts.

8th Religion

This week we will finish our study of the Book of Exodus. We will focus on the lessons and words of wisdom Moses shared with the people in his last words before his death. There is no memory verse this week.

8th Social Studies

In social studies we will study the major inventions of the early 20th century that completely changed the lives of Americans and brought the world into the modern age. The test on Topic 10 will be on Thursday, December 1st. Extra help will be available for extra review on Wednesday, November 30th.
