Hello, everyone! Welcome back to a new week at Trinity. Here are the updates for this week.
6th Religion
In religion this week, we are finally in the New Testament! We will study Jesus’ birth, early life, and His cousin- John the Baptist. No memory verse this week.
6th Social Studies
This week in social studies, we will be studying select topics from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The students will complete and present group projects on the feudal system, the church in the Middle Ages, the Italian Renaissance, and the Protestant Reformation.
7th Social Studies
Last week we focused on life in the North during the 19th century, and this week will be learning about life in the south, starting with what life was like on plantations. These last few lessons will lead up to the Civil War, which will be our first unit in eighth grade.
8th Social Studies
The students will take their test on World War II on Tuesday, May 18th, and then they will begin their final group projects covering each of the remaining decades of the 20th century.
8th Religion
In religion this week, we will get into Jesus’ early ministry, and important lessons He taught His disciples. No memory verse this week.
