Hello Parents! I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine and are looking forward to a great week ahead! Please remember to complete the daily attestations each morning prior to coming to school.

As we continue reviewing everything we’ve learned this year, we are starting to practice for our moving up ceremony.  The children love singing and can’t wait to perform for you on that day. As we review the ABC’s, we are focusing on their sounds. We will start to learn counting by 2’s.  The new sight words for this week are “it” and “jump”.  Continuing with our last theme in the Big Day curriculum called “Moving On”, this week’s topic is “Trying New Things” with the big idea being that I feel comfortable trying new things.  The vocabulary words this week are challenge, encourage, and try. We will read “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, “Little Bat”, and “We’re Going on a Lion Hunt”.  For math, we will continue to review patterns and look at things that repeat.

This week we start talking about summer safety.  Our Scholastic Weekly Reader, titled “Helmets” is the first summer safety we will cover. For Jesus time, we review all our Jesus time songs that we’ve learned throughout the year.
