Hello Parents! Happy Memorial Day!

Even though this will be a short week, it will be a Week of Fun as we celebrate our preschoolers and all their accomplishments this year. The school year is coming to an end and we continue to strive to keep everyone safe, so please remember to complete the daily attestations each morning prior to coming to school.

This week we will continue practicing for our moving up ceremony. The children are working really hard and they have a great performance in store for you. We will continue learning the letter sounds and counting by 2’s.  The new sight words for this week are “the”, “you” and “up”.  Continuing with our last theme in the Big Day curriculum called “Moving On”, we are on our last topic of the curriculum, “We’re Big Now” with the big idea being look at what I can do now.  The vocabulary words this week are kindergarten, practice, proud, succeed and success. We will read “Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten”, “If You Take a Mouse to School” and “The Little Engine that Could”.  For math, I will introduce the concept of weight with vocabulary words like “heavier”, “heavy”, “light”, “lighter” and “weight”. For Jesus time, we review all our Jesus time songs that we’ve learned throughout the year. Our scholastic weekly readers will cover the American Flag and summer.

We are having an ECC Week of Fun with different themes each day this week.  I do hope all students will participate.  Each day will be unique and fun as we celebrate the end of the school year.
