In ELA, we are reading Pop’s Bridge and discussing why is everyone’s role on a project important. We will focus on the target skills compare and contrast and story structure, and the target strategy infer/predict.  In grammar we are learning about proper and common nouns. Our target vocabulary words are crew, tide, cling, balancing, foggy, disappear, stretch, and excitement. Our spelling words are load, open, told, yellow, soak, shadow, foam, follow, glow, sold, window, coach, almost, throat, cold, most, tomorrow, and sailboats. We are going to have  comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and spelling tests on Friday.safetytownoct201622

In Religion, we are study the Bible and the tools that we can use to help us, such as atlases and timelines. Our memory test this week will be on Hosea- Malachi.

Our Science focus this week will be on germinating and growing. We will then look at plants from the past and compare them to today’s plants. Please remember I grade all Science homework.

In Social Studies, we are learning about the history of Mexico.

safetytownoct201661In Math, we are taking our chapter 2 test on Tuesday. It will cover reading and interpreting data on charts. A review packet was sent home on Friday. On Wednesday we start multiplication.
