Math 6

This week we are continuing with our unit on algebra.  There will be a quiz on evaluating expressions on Tuesday, 3/22.  Later in the week we will explore distrubuting. factoring and combining like terms.

Math 7

This week we are still working on our chapter about  statistics.  Students will be working on a sports statisitcs project and learning to construct box and whisker plots. On Friday, 3/25 we will be having a quiz on box and whisker plots.

Pre-Algebra

This week we will focus on learning to use the midpoint formula.  There will be a quiz on midpoint on Friday, 3/25.  

Algebra

This week we are continuing work on Chapter 9, quadratic equations.  This week we will explore how to solve quadratics using a method called completing the square.  We will then explore the quadratic formula and how to use the discriminant to determine roots of an equation.
