Math 6

This week we are starting a new chapter on percents.  We will be exploring how to represent percents using base ten blocks, fractions and decimals.  This week the focus will be on converting fractions to percents and then converting percents to fractions.  There are no tests or quizzes this week.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 7

This week we are starting a new chapter on equations.  We will begin with combining like terms, distributing, and simplifying algebraic expressions.  This will lead us to solve one step equations.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

We are continuing with our chapter on graphing equations.  This week our focus will be on different kinds of slope.  (positive, negative, zero and undefined).  On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be working on a graphing project that can be submitted for extra credit.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Algebra

This week we continue working with systems of equations.  We have a quiz on Tuesday, 11/24.  The quiz covers solving systems of equations using graphing, substitution, and elimination.  Following the quiz we will learn how to write and solve systems of equations from word problems.      When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
