Hello Parents,
It was a pleasure meeting you and your children last week during your welcome time. Mrs. Maldonado and I are so excited to begin this new school year with you and your children!
We use the curriculum entitled, Big Day for Pre-K. There are 8 themes for the whole school year and this week, we will begin with the first which is called “Ready for School.” The first topic within this theme is “My School.” We will also focus on getting to know one another and learning the classroom and playground rules. We will be learning about circles, the color red and the number one. We will be reading several books including: My New School, The Kissing Hand, Owen and Annie, Be a and Chi Chi Dolores.
We will be beginning to learn about Jesus this week through learning that Jesus loves us. The children will be learning a special song called, Jesus Loves Me. We will be singing this song a lot throughout the year.
I will be sending homework packets out on Monday which will be due on Friday.
