Wow! We are entering our last month of fifth grade…..Here’s what’s going on…
Math: We have officially completed the chapters in the math text and will be spending June doing the “Getting Ready For Sixth Grade” section of the book. Each day or two is a different topic that will be seem in sixth grade. The students are excited for this.
ELA:
Reading: We will be taking the end of the year benchmark a little bit each day.
We will be reading The Cricket in Times Square independently with a writing activity upon completion.
Grammar: General review.
Spelling: none
Writing: We will be writing narratives.
Religion: We will be exploring what the Bible says about a topic of choice and having some Old or New Testament ‘Sword Drills”
SS: We will complete ch 5 next week. Test June 10th.
Science: Various STEM activities and Mystery Doug.
Field day: Wednesday. Red and white teams.
End of year Picnic: Friday–Lunch
