The 4th graders have a busy week ahead! Please take a moment to review what we will be covering over this week. It is important that students bring in a charged chromebook to school each day. There is noschool on Friday in honor of Veterans Day. Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week:

ELA: This week in ELA, we will be exploring the Week 5 of the Wonders Curriculum. Focusing on the text, Kids in Business. We will also complete lessons 5 and 6 in the grammar book learning about compound and complex sentences. We will also be writing a creative short story.

Math: This week in Math we will start module 6-7 in IntoMath. We will not be following IntoMath. We will be learning the standard algorithm to solve division problems. We will be using IntoMath for lessons 6.1-6.3 and 7.3-7.4. It is essential that your child knows and is confident in practicing their multiplication facts.

Religion: This week we will begin our next unit on Prayer.

Social Studies: This week we continue Chapter 3, A Growing Colony, learning about the early settlers in New York. Directions for the next S.S. project will go home on Tuesday. We will also be working on this project in school. This project will be due on 11-22

Science: This week we will begin our next unit of science, The Birth of Rocks. We will celebrate National STEM day on Tuesday by “going” on a virtual field trip to the Johnson Space Center to learn how engineers apply concepts of STEM to their daily life,

I am looking forward to a fantastic week with a fabulous group of fourth graders.

Blessings,
