I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed the long weekend! We will be completing a new lesson each week for the next 3 full weeks before Christmas.
SPELLING- The words for this week are: fast, of, send, who, lend, past, sink, wink. The “S” books are due by Wednesday, and the test will be given on Friday.
READING- We are on Unit 2, week 3. We will read the story “At a Pond”. The concepts we will work on are: ending blends, -ing ending, and possessive nouns. The new “R” book words are: eat, no, of, under, and who. The test will be given on Friday.
MATH- We will begin chapter 5, Understanding “add to” and “take from” problems.
SOCIAL STUDIES- Our Community
SCIENCE- Sun and Shadows
RELIGION- Stories about Leaders

It is hard to believe that we are already in the Christmas season! We have many activities planned, and you will be getting more information this week. Since K, 1, and 2 eat and have recess together every day, we will be having a Christmas luncheon with all the children on Thursday, December 15th. I will send out the details this week. Our class moms will contact parents to ask for contributions for our party.
The Kidz Boutique will be here this week, and the children may shop for Christmas gifts for their families. Please send back the envelope that was sent home last week with money for your child to shop by Wednesday.
This Friday is the end of the first trimester. Report cards will be available online next week.
