Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The new words for this week are: show, row, grow, low, blow, snow, boat, coat, road, toad, great, laugh, and were. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for and write 6 sentences by Thursday. Use at least 5 words in each sentence. The Spelling Test will be on Thursday this week. There is no school for the children on Friday.
Phonics- oa and ow words; contractions with ‘ve and ‘re
Language Arts- future tense
Reading: We will read the story Tomas Rivera. The children will read it again at home. The Reading tests will be given on Thursday this week. Children must know the sequence of events in the story for the test. Please make sure your child reads the decodable readers that are sent home each night. They should be able to read the stories fluently. They should also be able to read all of the “R” book words (sight words).
Math chapter 9-measurement
Social Studies- book 3 test on Wednesday- book was sent home last week.
Religion- Bible stories about Jesus’ miracles
Weekly Reader- “Meet Christian Robinson”
1AA News
The teachers have a professional development day on Friday. There is no school for the children.
Please replenish your child’s school supplies as needed.
