Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week:
Spelling- The new words for this week are: her, fern, girl, sir, stir, bird, fur, hurt, turn, third, eight, and begins. The children will write their spelling words 3x each and 8 sentences by Thursday. Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics- controlled vowels: er, ir, ur
Reading: We will read the story, Amazing Animals this week. The children will read the story again at home. The vocabulary words are: baby, begins, eight, follow, learning, until, years, young. The Reading test will be given on Friday.
Math- Graphs; Test on chapter 10 on Thursday.
Practice test in class on Wednesday.
Social Studies- Unit 4- Economics: All about work
Weekly Reader- Mae Jemison

Remind your child to complete all work in his/her neatest handwriting. Some of the children are rushing and aren’t keeping their letters on the lines.
Book order forms will go home this week. You can order books online at Scholastic.com or send your order form and check to school.
Pizza envelopes should be handed in by Thursday at noon!
